Portageville Jr. Beta students earn awards

The Portageville School District sent members of the Junior Beta Club to the state convention on December 4-5. The convention was held at University Plaza Hotel and Springfield Expo Center. Approximately 43 Portageville Junior High students participated with many bringing home awards. Many of these students will be eligible to attend the National Convention held next summer. On Monday, the school recognized the students for their accomplishments.

Trudy Wren - 4th Place, 7th Grade Science
Reece Rone, 3rd Place, Jewelry

Karlie Johnson, 3rd Place, Sculpture
4th Place - Marketing Team includes Julianna Noble, Karlie Johnson, Alex Ash, Reece Rone and Taryn Partin.
Second Place - Robotics Team includes Colton Hammack, Ja'Niya Smith, Julianna Noble, Laney Stone, Mason Meador, Terica Allen, Zach Lovins, and Trudy Wren.
Second Place - Living Literature includes Alyssa Lane, Cami Harper, Cross Howard, Hayden Barnett, Tanner Sullivan, Terica Allen and Zack Loovins. Not pictured is Heidi Hoxworth.
