Bootheel Racers Continue Success in the Pool

The Bootheel Racers Swimming program lead by Coach Spence Royer are having a successful 2015-2016 season. The Racers has already hosted a home meet in Caruthersville and traveled to swimming venues in Missouri, Tennessee, and Illinois. Racer Swimming competes in three separate leagues: Mid-South Swim Conference (MSSC), AAU, and USA Swimming. This three league approach keeps Coach Royer busy from a travel standpoint but is the best fit for his emerging a developing program...

November firearms deer harvest ends with 189,938

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows that deer hunters in Missouri harvested 189,938 deer during the November portion of fall firearms deer season, Nov. 14-24. Of the 189,938 deer harvested, 92,020 were antlered bucks, 21,256 were button bucks, and 76,662 were does.
