The Portageville Jaycees were very excited that Justin Forrester chose the Santa's Elves Project to donate his money that he saved as well as the donations he received for his goal. "Justin's kindness towards others, especially at such a young age, exemplifies the saying "It is better to give than to receive". We thank Justin from the bottom of our hearts and wish him the Merriest Christmas ever," said Tonya Vannasdall , spokesperson for the Portageville Jaycees.

The story began when Melony Forrester, Justin's mother, shared these comments on her Facebook page,

My son Justin, who is only 7 has a Heart of Gold! As he's playing in the bath last night he hollers for his dad to come there.

"Justin says, 'Daddy I want to take all my pennies (which he has a Bunch) and go to Dollar General and get toys to put in the box'"

His father, Mark, ask how why!

"Because some kids aren't as lucky as I am and don't get as much for Christmas, so I want to help," said young Justin.

"My heart melts at the things he says. So you know what our task is, digging out all his pennies, rolling them, cash in and let my sweet boy pick out some toys for the kids in our community! These are the moments that you know your doing something right as a parent," said Melony Forrester.

He ended up with $102 to buy toys for other kids. "We went to Dollar General this evening and got more for our dollars since it was 25 percent off after $75 worth of toys. He got $147 worth of toys and paid $112. So proud of his giving heart. He said I want to see their faces and how happy it makes them, " added Forrester.

Justin is the 7 year old son of Mark and Melony Forrester of Portageville
