Wal-mart closing expected to have a $100k impact sales tax

(CARUTHERSVILLE) - Walmart--people either love the company or hate it. Eighty-five people are employed by the company in either full or part-time positions. For Caruthersville and Pemiscot County, the company is a major source of revenue. In Caruthersville, Mayor Mike McGraw shared the possibility of some $100,000 in loss in sales tax revenue from the store's closing.
