Storm blows through Marston

A tractor-trailer driver escaped serious injury after his vehicle was blown over by high winds during storms which blew through Southeast Missouri Sunday. At 10:05 a.m. Sunday, Kerry L. Moore, 51, of Hopkins, Minn., was driving northbound on Interstate 55 and was pulling off at the Marston exit when the wind toppled his vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report. Moore had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston for treatment. New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens also reported the sign at the Pilot Truck Stop was blown over during the storm as well as several large trees in the Marston area.
