Rural Incident 1

On 02/03/2018 at 13:28 Fire Department was paged for a mutual aid call over near Gideon. Rural Pumper 1, Tanker Truck & Supply Truck responded to 5420 West State Hwy 162. Upon arrival they found a structure that was detached from the main home structure that was fully involved, they requested more water from Wardell Fire Dept. the fire was extinguished with just loss to 1 structure. After completion the owner request the Sate Fire Marshall be contacted the cause of fire is still under investigation.

On 02/04/18 at 13:57 the Fire Department was paged out to Interstate 55 at 37mm for a 10-70 Grass Fire in the median. Rural Pumper 1 & 2 & Supply Truck Responded. Upon arrival they found a fire in median of the interstate, the fire was extinguished within a 1 mile of origin.

On 02/17/18 at 23:36 the Fire Department was paged out to Interstate 55 at the 42.6 mm South Bound for 10-50 Single Vehicle Accident. Rescue Truck 1 responded while in route Rescue 1 was canceled.

On 02/20/2018 at 13; 28 the Fire Department was paged to a residence on Scott School Road for a Carbon Dioxide Check. Rural Pumper 1 responded. Upon arrival they were advised that one of the residences was admitted to hospital for carbon dioxide complications. The house was inspected and found no traces of carbon dioxide. The residence were advised to get a home carbon dioxide alarm and the case was closed.

On 02/21/18 at 23:46 the Fire Department was Paged for a 10-70 Grass Fire at Fisher Delta Research Center. Rural Pumper 1 Responded upon arrival they found a small grass fire that was re-kindled due to winds before the storm. The fire was extinguished, with no property loss.

February Training Report

For month of February there was two training courses held in our area

The first one was Basic Firefighter Structure Course over at Malden

Firefighter Devin Cobb Attended

The Second was a Large Farm Machinery Rescue held at New Madrid

Four Firefighters attended the course
