Barbara Kay (Tribble) Eagle, of Portageville, was born March 12, 1955, in Portageville, to Gilbert Tribble and Marie (Black) Tribble, and departed this life Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, due to complications with her treatment for Leukemia, at the age of 63 years.
Barbara “Momma” fought a good fight and kept the faith; cancer did not defeat her.
Her hobbies included decorating her home and collecting dolls and antiques; however, she was most passionate about serving God and going to church at Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, as well as spending time and playing with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marie Tribble; her husband, Danny Eagle; her brother, Edward “Eddie” Tribble; and a sister, Inez Laverne Tribble.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Jonathan (Scharlotta) Dowler of Portageville; stepsons, Jeremy and Jamie Brinkley of Arnold, Mo.; her daughter, Sheena Marie Eagle of Portageville; five grandchildren, Eli Dennison, Jaxlee Eagle, Collin Dowler, Aiden Brinkley and Isabelle Brinkley; two brothers, Rev. Gilbert “Wayne” (Diane) Tribble of Austin, Texas, Gregory (Donna) Tribble of Portageville; four sisters, Shelbia Robbins of Kennett, Geraldine (Vernon) Purser of Senath, Mo., Bona (Don) Harris of Portageville, Ila Tribble of Portageville; sister-in-law, Judy Tribble; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, with burial in Portageville Cemetery.
