Portageville defeats the Wildcats

In their final home game of regular season, the Portageville boys basketball team outscored the Bloomfield Wildcats 36-22 over the middle two quarters Tuesday night in a 59-48 victory at Portageville High School. Bloomfield led 12-11 after one quarter, but the Bulldogs pulled ahead 29-24 by halftime and led 47-34 after three quarters. Carson Blair paced Bloomfield (6-17) with 14 points, and Travis McCullough had 12. A.J. Hicks and Bub Lance scored a game-high 16 points each for Portageville, who improved to 18-6. It was also Senior night and six players and one cheerleader were honored. The Seniors being honored were Steven Guo, Maisie Hall, Terry Kirkwood, Bub Lance, Mikel Moody, Bryce Rone, and Chris Word.
