SIKESTON — Jerry Lee Bryant, 79, died Feb. 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Feb. 4, 1940, in Canalou, son of the late Claude and Iva Lena Pointer Bryant, he was a member of Bertrand United Methodist Church in Bertrand and retired from Missouri Department of Transportation after 42 years.
On Feb. 28, 1959, in Fisk, he married Mary Martin, who survives of the home in Bertrand.
Other survivors include one daughter, Connie Ray of Bertrand; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Denise Bryant of Cypress, Texas; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Bryant; two sisters, Claudia Faye Kirkpatrick and Charlotte Bryant.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Feb. 28 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral services were held at 10 a.m. March 1 with the Rev. Lois McRill, pastor of Bertrand United Methodist Church in Bertrand, and the Rev. Jennifer Moxley, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Burial followed in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
